Die Serie Women I Don’t Know interpretiert diese aktuelle Suche mit den Mitteln der Malerei. Sie selektiert das verfügbare Bildmaterial einer digitalen Alltagstechnik und überführt es in handgefertigte Gemälde.

Here people present themselves on a standardized profile page with personal characteristics, multiple choice statements and initially blurred portrait photos. Some of these snapshot-like or calculatedly staged portraits develop a high aesthetic quality (composition, colouring, abstraction) precisely through their blurriness and lead from the individual to the typological.
The series Women I Don’t Know interprets this current search with the means of painting. It selects the available image material of a digital everyday technique and transforms it into handmade paintings.
